Vaughan is Welsh speaking, originally from Swansea. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1983, gained his Insolvency Licence in 1989 and has worked full time in insolvency since 1990.
Working for Ernst & Young during the early part of his career (including spells at both predecessor firms) he subsequently spent 12 years heading up the Cardiff office of a London based insolvency practice. Whilst specialising in all types of corporate work he also has a portfolio of bankruptcy appointments, has conducted numerous business reviews on behalf of clearing banks and has a particular understanding for the problems faced by Charities and companies in the “Third” sector.
Vaughan is a regular contributor to television and radio broadcasts (in Welsh and in English), having appeared on The Ferret (for ITV), X-Ray (for BBC) and news broadcasts (for S4C).
Outside work Vaughan has two children (for whom he operates a taxi service to various sporting, social and cultural activities), is obsessed by sport but, in particular, playing golf and following home–town football club Swansea City.
Os hoffech drafod eich materion ariannol yn y Gymraeg, mae Vaughan yn hapus i wneud hynny.
